حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلْمَانَ الْفَقِيهُ بِبَغْدَادَ ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَفْصِ بْنِ الزِّبْرِقَانِ ثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ الْحَنَفِيُّ ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ التَّيْمِيِّ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ عُمَيْسٍ قَالَتْ

سَأَلَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «بِمَاذَا تَسْتَمْشِينَ؟» قُلْتُ بِالشُّبْرُمِ قَالَ «حَارٌّ حَارٌّ» قَالَتْ ثُمَّ اسْتَمْشَيْتُ بِالسَّنَاءِ قَالَ «لَوْ كَانَ فِي شَيْءٍ شِفَاءٌ مِنَ الْمَوْتِ لَكَانَ فِي السَّنَاءِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked me, "With what do you purge yourself?" I said, 'With spurge.' He said, "Hot, hot." She said, 'Then I purged myself with senna.' He said, "If there were a cure for death in anything, it would be in senna."
