أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْحَافِظُ ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى ثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ رَآنِي فِي الْمَنَامِ فَقَدْ رَآنِي إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لَا يَتَمَثَّلُ بِي» قَالَ أَبِي فَحَدَّثْتُ بِهِ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ وَقُلْتُ قَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ ﷺ فَذَكَرْتُ الْحَسَنَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ فَشَبَّهْتُهُ بِهِ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ «إِنَّهُ كَانَ يُشْبِهُهُ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever sees me in a dream has truly seen me, for Satan cannot impersonate me." My father said: I narrated this to Ibn Abbas and said, "I saw him ﷺ, and I mentioned al-Hasan b. Ali and likened him to him." Ibn Abbas said, "He used to resemble him."
