حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَمْشَاذَ الْعَدْلُ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْقَاضِي ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَخِي عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بِلَالٍ عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْقَرَّاظِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ

«إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَأَحْسَنَ وُضُوءَهُ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ لَا يَنْزِعُهُ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ إِلَّا الصَّلَاةُ لَمْ تَزَلْ رِجْلُهُ الْيُسْرَى إِلَّا تَمْحُو عَنْهُ سَيِّئَةً وَتَكْتُبُ لَهُ الْيُمْنَى حَسَنَةً حَتَّى يَدْخُلَ الْمَسْجِدَ»

✧ When one of you performs ablution and does it well, then goes out to prayer, nothing takes him to the mosque except the prayer, his left foot does not cease erasing a bad deed from him, and his right foot records a good deed for him until he enters the mosque.

  • «كَثِيرُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ وَأَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْقَرَّاظُ مَدَنِيَّانِ لَا نَعْرِفُهُمَا إِلَّا بِالصِّدْقِ وَ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ» صحيح

    machine translation"Kathīr b. Zayd and Abū ʿAbdillāh al-Qarrāẓ are both Madinans; we know them only for truthfulness. This hadith is authentic (ṣaḥīḥ), but the two (al-Bukhārī and Muslim) did not narrate it." Authentic (ṣaḥīḥ).
