✧ The Drinks: The Hadith of Hisham b. Urwah, as narrated by his father

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَهْلٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ النَّحْوِيُّ بِبَغْدَادَ ثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ شَاكِرٍ ثَنَا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ثَنَا أَبُو عِصَامٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَتَنَفَّسُ فِي الْإِنَاءِ ثَلَاثًا وَيَقُولُ «هُوَ أَرْوَى وَأَبْرَأُ وَأَمْرَأُ» قَالَ أَنَسٌ «وَأَنَا أَتَنَفَّسُ فِي الشَّرَابِ ثَلَاثًا»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to breathe three times in the vessel and say, “It is more thirst-quenching, more wholesome, and more palatable.” Anas said, “And I breathe three times while drinking.”
