✧ I heard 'A'ishah say: Umm Sunbulah gave the Messenger of Allah ﷺ some milk as a gift. She came to me with it and did not find him. I said to her, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ has forbidden us to eat the food of the Bedouins.' Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and Abu Bakr entered. He said, 'O Umm Sunbulah, what is this with you?' She said, 'O Messenger of Allah, milk that I gave you as a gift.' He said, 'Pour it, O Umm Sunbulah.' She handed it to Abu Bakr. Then he said, 'Pour it, O Umm Sunbulah.' Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ took it and drank. She said, 'I said, How cool it is on the liver.' 'A'ishah said, 'O Messenger of Allah, you told us that you had forbidden the food of the Bedouins.' He said, 'O 'A'ish, they are not Bedouins; they are the people of our desert, and we are the people of their settled areas. When they are called, they answer, so they are not Bedouins.'
