أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الزَّاهِدُ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ يَحْيَى الْبَرْنِيُّ ثنا أَبُو يَعْلَى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّلْتِ التُّوزِيُّ ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ نَمِرٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ جَارِيَةَ عَنْ عَمِّهِ مُجَمِّعِ بْنِ جَارِيَةَ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ سُئِلَ عَنْ مَوَاقِيتِ الصَّلَاةِ فَقَدَّمَ ثُمَّ أَخَّرَ وَقَالَ «بَيْنَهُمَا وَقْتٌ»
Translation

✧ That the Prophet ﷺ was asked about the times of prayer, so he advanced and then delayed, and said, 'Between them is a time.'
Notes
«هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ وَعُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ هَذَا هُوَ ابْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ أَبِي صُعَيْرٍ الْعُذْرِيُّ» على شرطهما
machine translation"This is an authentic (ṣaḥīḥ) hadith meeting the criteria of the two Shaykhs (al-Bukhārī and Muslim), though they did not record it. This ʿUbayd Allāh is the son of ʿAbd Allāh b. Thaʿlabah b. Abī Ṣuʿayr al-ʿUdhrī." On their criteria.
