حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عِيسَى أَنْبَأَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ نَجْدَةَ الْقُرَشِيُّ ثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ أَبِي يَعْفُورٍ عَنْ عَوْنِ بْنِ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ
كُنْتُ مَعَ عَمِّي عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ «لَا يَزَالُ أَمْرُ أُمَّتِي صَالِحًا حَتَّى يَمْضِيَ اثْنَا عَشَرَ خَلِيفَةً» ثُمَّ قَالَ كَلِمَةً وَخَفَضَ بِهَا صَوْتَهُ فَقُلْتُ لِعَمِّي وَكَانَ أَمَامِي مَا قَالَ يَا عَمُّ؟ قَالَ قَالَ يَا بُنَيَّ «كُلُّهُمْ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ»

✧ I was with my uncle in the presence of the Prophet ﷺ and he said, "The affair of my Ummah (nation) will continue to be righteous as long as there are twelve caliphs." Then he said a word and lowered his voice with it. So, I asked my uncle, who was in front of me, what did he say, O uncle? He said, "He said, O my son, 'All of them will be from Quraysh.'"
