حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى ح حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَنْبَأَ يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ قَالَا ثَنَا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الزَّهْرَانِيُّ ثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ

كُنْتُ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ «لَا يَزَالُ أَمْرُ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ ظَاهِرًا حَتَّى يَقُومَ اثْنَا عَشَرَ خَلِيفَةً» وَقَالَ كَلِمَةً خَفِيَتْ عَلَيَّ وَكَانَ أَبِي أَدْنَى إِلَيْهِ مَجْلِسًا مِنِّي فَقُلْتُ مَا قَالَ؟ قَالَ «كُلُّهُمْ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ» وَقَدْ رَوَى جَابِرُ بْنُ سَمُرَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ حَدِيثًا آخَرَ

✧ I was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and I heard him saying, "The affairs of this nation will remain apparent until twelve caliphs rise." Then he said something that I couldn't understand, and my father was closer to him than me, so I asked him, "What did he say?" He replied, "All of them will be from Quraysh." Jabir ibn Samurah also narrated another hadith from his father.
