✧ That he heard Abu Ruhm Kulthum b. Husayn, one of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who pledged allegiance under the tree, say: I went on the campaign of Tabuk with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. One night, I traveled with him while we were close to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Drowsiness overcame us, and I kept waking up while my mount had drawn near the mount of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I began to keep my mount away from his, until sleep overpowered me on part of the road while we were in part of the night. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “The dearest of my people to me that they should not stay behind from me are the Muhajirun of Quraysh, the Ansar, Aslam, and Ghifar.” Al-Dhahabi remained silent about it in the Talkhis.
