✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave judgment concerning the fetus. Hamal b. Malik b. al-Nabighah al-Hudhali stood up and said, “O Commander of the Believers, I was between two slave girls, meaning co-wives. I went out and one of them struck the other with the pole of her tent and killed her and killed what was in her belly. The Prophet ﷺ gave judgment concerning the fetus with a ghurrah, a male or female slave.” Umar said, “Allah is greater. Had we not heard this, we would not have judged otherwise.”
