Translation

✧ By Allah, I heard al-Hajjaj b. Yusuf say: How amazing is the servant of Hudhayl who claims that he recites a Qur'an from Allah. By Allah, it is nothing but rajaz poetry from the rajaz of the Bedouins. By Allah, if I had caught the servant of Hudhayl, I would have struck his neck.
