سَمِعْتُ أَبَا إِسْحَاقَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ إِسْحَاقَ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْبُخَارِيَّ يَقُولُ
«قَتَلَ الْمُخْتَارُ بْنُ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ صُرَدٍ هَذَا بَعْدَ أَنْ قَتَلَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ صُرَدٍ عُبَيْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ زِيَادٍ»
