أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْقَطِيعِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثنا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ وَعَمْرَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ
اسْتَحَاضَتْ أُمُّ حَبِيبَةَ وَهِيَ تَحْتَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ سَبْعَ سِنِينَ فَأَمَرَهَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا أَقْبَلَتِ الْحَيْضَةُ فَدَعِي الصَّلَاةَ فَإِذَا أَدْبَرَتْ فَاغْتَسِلِي وَصَلِّي» «حَدِيثُ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ وَالْأَوْزَاعِيِّ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ إِنَّمَا خَرَّجَ مُسْلِمٌ حَدِيثَ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ وَإِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ» وَقَدْ تَابَعَ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ الْأَوْزَاعِيَّ عَلَى رِوَايَتِهِ هَذِهِ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَلَى هَذِهِ الْأَلْفَاظِ «وَهُوَ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ مُسْلِمٍ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ» على شرطهما

✧ Umm Habibah experienced prolonged non-menstrual bleeding for seven years while she was married to 'Abd al-Rahman b. 'Awf. The Prophet ﷺ instructed her, saying: "When the menstrual period arrives, leave the prayer; and when it departs, bathe and pray." [The hadith of 'Amr b. al-Harith and al-Awza'i is sound according to the conditions of the two Shaykhs, but they did not include it. Muslim only included the hadith of Sufyan b. 'Uyaynah and Ibrahim b. Sa'd from al-Zuhri.] Muhammad b. 'Amr b. 'Alqamah corroborated al-Awza'i in his narration from al-Zuhri with these exact words: "It is sound according to the condition of Muslim, but they did not include it" according to their conditions.
