✧ The virtues of Abu Ishaq Saad b. Abi Waqqas

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْفَضْلِ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ثَنَا الْخَصِيبُ بْنُ نَاصِحٍ ثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ نَائِلٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ بِنْتِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهَا

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ جَلَسَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ ثَلَاثَ لَيَالٍ يَقُولُ «اللَّهُمَّ أَدْخِلْ مِنْ هَذَا الْبَابِ عَبْدًا يُحِبُّكَ وَتُحِبُّهُ» فَدَخَلَ مِنْهُ سَعْدٌ

Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ sat in the mosque for three nights saying, "O Allah, admit through this gate a servant who loves You and whom You love." Sa'd entered through it.
