أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْبَلْخِيُّ بِبَغْدَادَ ثَنَا أَبُو إِسْمَاعِيلَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ ثَنَا نَافِعُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ حَدَّثَنِي جَعْفَرُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ أَنَّ عَبْدَ الْحَمِيدِ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَزْهَرَ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَزْهَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ
«إِنَّمَا مَثَلُ الْعَبْدِ حِينَ يُصِيبُهُ الْوَعْكُ أَوِ الْحُمَّى كَمَثَلِ حَدِيدَةٍ أُدْخِلَتِ النَّارَ فَيَذْهَبُ خَبَثُهَا وَيَبْقَى طِيبُهَا»
