حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْحَافِظُ ثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الرُّومِيُّ ثَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ثَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِي زُمَيْلٍ سِمَاكِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَ

كُنْتُ رُبْعَ الْإِسْلَامِ أَسْلَمَ قَبْلِي ثَلَاثَةُ نَفَرٍ وَأَنَا الرَّابِعُ أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ فَرَأَيْتُ الِاسْتِبْشَارَ فِي وَجْهِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ على شرط مسلم

✧ I was a quarter of Islam. Three people embraced Islam before me, and I was the fourth. I came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, 'Peace be upon you, O Messenger of Allah. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger.' I saw joy in the face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. On the condition of Muslim.
