أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّيْخُ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ قَالَ «مَاتَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ بِالْمَدِينَةِ سَنَةَ اثْنَتَيْنِ وَثَلَاثِينَ حِينَ قُتِلَ عُثْمَانُ وَكَانَ أَوْصَى الزُّبَيْرَ بْنَ الْعَوَّامِ فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ وَقَدْ قِيلَ
أَنَّ عَمَّارَ بْنَ يَاسِرٍ صُلِّيَ عَلَيْهِ وَدُفِنَ بِالْبَقِيعِ لَيْلًا وَهُوَ ابْنُ بِضْعٍ وَسِتِّينَ سَنَةً»
