حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ رُسْتَةَ ثَنَا أَبُو أَيُّوبَ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الزُّهْرِيُّ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ الْأَخْنَسِ قَالَ «وُلِدَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ بَعْدَ الْفِيلِ بِعَشْرِ سِنِينَ وَمَاتَ يَرْحَمُهُ اللَّهُ سَنَةَ اثْنَتَيْنِ وَثَلَاثِينَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ خَمْسٍ وَسَبْعِينَ سَنَةً وَكَانَتْ كُنْيَتَهُ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ وَدُفِنَ بِالْبَقِيعِ وَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ عُثْمَانُ وَكَانَ رَجُلًا طَوِيلًا رَقِيقَ الْبَشَرَةِ يَعْنِي رَقِيقَ الْجِلْدِ أَبْيَضَ مُشْرَبَ بِحُمْرَةٍ» سكت
