✧ Usayd b. Hudayr was a righteous man, cheerful and handsome. While he was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, talking to the people and making them laugh, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ poked him in his side. He said, 'You have hurt me.' He said, 'Get even.' He said, 'O Messenger of Allah, you are wearing a shirt and I am not wearing a shirt.' He said: So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ lifted his shirt, and he embraced him and began kissing his flank, saying, 'May my father and mother be your ransom, O Messenger of Allah. This is what I wanted.' This is the wording of the hadith of Jarir from Husayn, for the hadith of Warqa' is abridged. Sahih al-isnad, but they did not include it. Sahih.
