أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْعَتَكِيُّ ثنا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ الْفَرْوِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْمَخْرَمِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَوْنٍ الدَّوْسِيِّ عَنِ الطُّفَيْلِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ
قُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ اجْعَلْنَا مَيْمَنَتَكَ وَاجْعَلْ شِعَارَنَا يَا مَبْرُورُ «فَفَعَلَ ﷺ فَشِعَارُ الْأُسْدِ كُلِّهَا إِلَى الْيَوْمِ يَا مَبْرُورُ» صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ إِنَّ لَمْ يَكُنْ مُرْسَلًا وَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ عَمْرُو بْنُ الطُّفَيْلِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ صحيح مرسل

✧ We said: O Messenger of Allah, make us your right flank, and make our battle cry "O blessed one!" So he did ﷺ. The battle cry of the whole tribe of Asad to this day is "O blessed one!" Its chain is authentic but they did not record it, if it is not mursal. 'Amr ibn al-Tufayl ibn 'Amr met the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Sahih mursal
