✧ Translation: Interpretation of Surah al-Balad

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْقَاضِي بِهَمْدَانَ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ ثنا آدَمُ بْنُ أَبِي إِيَاسٍ ثنا وَرْقَاءٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

فِي قَوْلِهِ ﷻ {وَوَالِدٍ وَمَا وَلَدَ} [البلد 3] قَالَ «يَعْنِي بِالْوَالِدِ آدَمَ وَمَا وَلَدَ وَلَدَهُ»

✧ Regarding His saying, Exalted is He: {And by the parent and what he begot} [90:3], he said, "By 'the parent' He means Adam, and 'what he begot' means his offspring."

  • هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ على شرط البخاري ومسلم
