أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ بِمَكَّةَ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَنْبَأَ مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ هِشَامِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ ﷻ {وَإِنَّكَ لَعَلَى خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٍ} [القلم 4] قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ يَا أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَنْبِئِينِي عَنْ خُلُقِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ «أَتَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ؟» فَقُلْتُ نَعَمْ فَقَالَتْ «إِنَّ خُلُقَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ الْقُرْآنُ»

✧ I asked Aishah, “O Mother of the Believers, inform me about the character of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.” She said, “Do you recite the Quran?” I said, “Yes.” She said, “The character of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was the Quran.”
