✧ I heard Ḥudhayfah, having recited the saying of Allah, Exalted is He: “So know that there is no god but Allah and ask forgiveness for your sin” [Muḥammad: 19], say: I was a man of sharp tongue toward my family, so I said, “O Messenger of Allah, I fear that my tongue may cause me to enter the Fire.” The Prophet ﷺ said, “What about seeking forgiveness? I seek forgiveness from Allah a hundred times a day.”
