When we relate a report to you, we bring you confirmation of it in the Book of Allah: Indeed, when a servant says, “Glory be to Allah, and praise be to Allah, and there is no deity but Allah, and Allah is the Greatest, and blessed is Allah,” an angel takes hold of them, enfolds them beneath his wing, and ascends with them. He does not pass by any gathering of angels with them except that they seek forgiveness for the one who said them, until he brings them before the Face of the Most Merciful. Then ʿAbdullāh recited: “To Him ascends the good word, and the righteous deed raises it.” (Fāṭir 10)
