al-Mustadrak (al-Hakim) 3266

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الشَّافِعِيُّ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ ثنا أَبُو حُذَيْفَةَ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ رِفَاعَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ

جَمَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ قُرَيْشًا فَقَالَ «هَلْ فِيكُمْ مِنْ غَيْرِكُمْ؟» قَالُوا فِينَا ابْنُ أُخْتِنَا وَفِينَا حَلِيفُنَا وَفِينَا مَوْلَانَا فَقَالَ «حَلِيفُنَا مِنَّا وَابْنُ أُخْتِنَا مِنَّا وَمَوْلَانَا مِنَّا إِنَّ أَوْلِيَائِي مِنْكُمُ الْمُتَّقُونَ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gathered Quraysh and said: 'Is there anyone among you other than yourselves?' They said: 'Among us is our sister's son, among us is our ally, and among us is our freed slave.' He said: 'Our ally is from us, our sister's son is from us, and our freed slave is from us. Indeed, my guardians among you are the pious.'
