✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ taught me to recite Surah Ha-Mim. I went to the mosque in the evening and a group sat with me. I said to a man in the group: Recite to me. He recited passages I did not read. I asked: Who taught you? He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ taught me. We went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. There was a man with him. I said: They disagreed in our recitation. The face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ changed and he felt displeased when I mentioned the disagreement. He said: 'Those before you were destroyed by disagreement.' Then Ali whispered to me. Ali said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commands each of you to recite as he was taught. We left, each man reciting passages the other did not read.
