Notes
machine translationThe hadith of al-Muʿtamir, from Muḥammad b. ʿAmr, is authentic (ṣaḥīḥ) according to the criterion of Muslim, but the two of them (al-Bukhārī and Muslim) did not narrate it. As for ʿUmar b. Abī Salamah, the two of them did not use him as evidence.

machine translationSaʿd b. Ibrāhīm narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. Aḥmad b. al-Ḥusayn al-Lahabī narrated it from Ibrāhīm b. Saʿd, from Ḥumayd, from Umm Salamah, and this is an error (wahm). Rather, Saʿd b. Ibrāhīm narrates it from ʿUmar b. Abī Salamah, from his father, from Abū Hurayrah.
