- Abū Ḥatim al-Rāzī
machine translationThis is a well-known (mashhūr) hadith, narrated by a group from Abū Ḥayyān, from Abū Zurʿah, from Abū Hurayrah, from the Prophet ﷺ, that he mentioned the stealing of war booty (ghulūl) and said: "Let me not find any of you coming on the Day of Resurrection with a horse on his neck." Marwān abridged this hadith when he said "he carries it on his neck", that is, he made the horse feminine when he said "yaḥmilhā" (carries her) and did not say "yaḥmiluhu" (carries him).
