Notes
machine translationMuslim relied upon Wuhayb b. al-Ward as evidence, and this is a major hadith of ʿAbdullāh b. al-Mubārak, yet they (al-Bukhārī and Muslim) did not narrate it. ʿAbdullāh b. Rajāʾ al-Makkī corroborated Wuhayb b. al-Ward in his narration from ʿUmar b. Muḥammad b. al-Munkadir. Ibn al-Mubārak and ʿAbdullāh b. Rajāʾ al-Makkī narrated it from Wuhayb, meeting the conditions of Muslim.
