  • Ibn Ḥajar al-ʿAsqalānī

machine translationThere is some criticism (maqāl) regarding its chain of transmission.

  • Abū Ḥatim al-Rāzī

machine translationAs for the part that says, "When fornication and usury become widespread," it is not from the hadith of ʿIkrimah from Ibn ʿAbbās. Rather, it is from Simāk, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. ʿAbdullāh b. Masʿūd, from his father. Some of them report it as raised to the Prophet (marfūʿ), and some of them report it as stopping at the Companion (mawqūf).

  • Abū ʿAbdullāh al-Ḥākim

machine translationThis hadith has an authentic chain of transmission (ṣaḥīḥ al-isnād), though they did not record it.
