فَأَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو الْفَضْلِ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ زَرْبِيٍّ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنْ طَلْحَةَ الْهَمْدَانِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْسَجَةَ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ قَالَ
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَأْتِينَا إِذَا أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَيَمْسَحُ عَوَاتِقَنَا وَيَقُولُ «أَقِيمُوا صُفُوفَكُمْ وَلَا تَخْتَلِفُوا فَتَخْتَلِفَ قُلُوبُكُمْ وَلْيَلِيَنِّي مِنْكُمْ أُولُو الْأَحْلَامِ وَالنُّهَى وَزَيِّنُوا الْقُرْآنَ بِأَصْوَاتِكُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى الصَّفِّ الْمُقَدَّمِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would come to us when the prayer was about to begin and wipe our shoulders and say, “Straighten your rows and do not differ, lest your hearts differ. Let those of you who are possessed of reason and understanding stand closest to me, and beautify the Quran with your voices. Indeed Allah and His angels send blessings upon the front row.”
