أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي بِهَمْدَانَ ثنا عُمَيْرُ بْنُ مِرْدَاسٍ ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ الصَّائِغُ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عُمَيْرٍ مَوْلَى نَوْفَلِ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ
«لَا يَنَامَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ حَتَّى يَقْرَأَ ثُلُثَ الْقُرْآنِ» قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَكَيْفَ يَسْتَطِيعُ أَحَدُنَا أَنْ يَقْرَأَ ثُلُثَ الْقُرْآنِ قَالَ «أَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يَقْرَأَ قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ وقُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ وقُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ»

✧ "None of you should sleep until he has recited a third of the Quran." They said: "O Messenger of Allah, how can any of us recite a third of the Quran?" He said: "Can he not recite Say: He is Allah, the One, and Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of the daybreak, and Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind?"
