✧ Jibril ﷺ descended to the Prophet ﷺ in the most beautiful form in which he had ever descended, smiling and rejoicing. He said, ‘Peace be upon you, O Muhammad.’ He replied, ‘And upon you be peace, O Jibril.’ He said, ‘Allah has sent me to you with a gift from the treasures of the Throne, with which Allah has honored you.’ He asked, ‘And what is that gift, O Jibril?’ Jibril said, ‘Say: O You who makes beautiful things manifest and conceals ugly things, O You who does not take to task for the offense and does not tear the veil, O Great in pardon, O Beautiful in overlooking, O Vast in forgiveness, O You who spreads out Your hands in mercy, O Knower of every secret, O Ultimate end of every complaint, O Generous in forbearance, O Great in favor, O Initiator of blessings before they are deserved, O our Lord, O our Master, O our Protector, O goal of our desire, I ask You, O Allah, not to scorch my body with the Fire.’ Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘What is the reward of these words?’ Then he mentioned the rest of the hadith after the supplication in its full length.
