✧ He came to the Prophet ﷺ before embracing Islam. When he wanted to leave, he said: 'What should I say?' He said: 'Say: O Allah, protect me from the evil of my soul, and resolve for me the most guided of my affairs.' He said it and then left, and he had not embraced Islam. Then he embraced Islam and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what should I say now that I have embraced Islam?' He said: 'Say: O Allah, protect me from the evil of my soul, and resolve for me the most guided of my affairs. O Allah, forgive me what I have concealed and what I have made public, what I have done in error and what I have done deliberately, what I know and what I am ignorant of.'
