Sunan ad-Darimi 883

Translation

✧ A woman came to Ali disputing with her husband who had divorced her, and she said: "I have menstruated three menstruations in a month." Ali said to Shurayh: "Judge between them." He said: "O Commander of the Faithful, while you are here?" He said: "Judge between them." He said: "O Commander of the Faithful, while you are here?" He said: "Judge between them." Then he said: "If she brings from the inner circle of her family someone whose religion and trustworthiness are acceptable, claiming that she menstruated three menstruations, becoming pure at each period and praying, then it is permissible for her; otherwise, no." Ali said: "Qalun."
