✧ The superiority of ablution by the ablution of women

أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَسَّانَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

قَامَتِ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ نِسَاءِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَاغْتَسَلَتْ فِي جَفْنَةٍ مِنْ جَنَابَةٍ فَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِلَى فَضْلِهَا يَسْتَحِمُّ فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي قَدِ اغْتَسَلْتُ فِيهِ قَبْلَكَ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ عَلَى الْمَاءِ جَنَابَةٌ»

✧ A woman from among the wives of the Prophet ﷺ got up and bathed from janabah in a large basin. The Prophet ﷺ came to the leftover water to bathe, and she said, "I bathed in it before you." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Water does not become junub."
