أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ زُرَارَةَ أنْبأنا أَبُو قَطَنٍ عَمْرُو بْنُ الْهَيْثَمِ عَنْ أَبِي خَلْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ قَالَ
«إِنْ كُنَّا نَسْمَعُ الرِّوَايَةَ بِالْبَصْرَةِ عَنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَلَمْ نَرْضَ حَتَّى رَكِبْنَا إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ فَسَمِعْنَاهَا مِنْ أَفْوَاهِهِمْ»
