✧ 'Abdullah b. Mughaffal saw a man from his companions throwing pebbles and said, "Do not throw pebbles, for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to forbid throwing pebbles, or he used to dislike throwing pebbles. And he said, 'It does not wound an enemy, nor is game caught with it, but it may gouge an eye and break a tooth.'" Then he saw him after that throwing pebbles and said to him, "Did I not tell you that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to forbid it? Then I see you throwing pebbles. By Allah, I will never speak to you."
