Translation

✧ I said to al-Hasan one day regarding something he said, “O Abu Sa‘id, this is not what the jurists say.” He said, “Woe to you! Have you ever seen a true jurist? The true jurist is the one who renounces this world, desires the Hereafter, is insightful in the affairs of his religion, and is constant in the worship of his Lord.”
