حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ قَالَ
إِنَّ أَوَّلَ جَدٍّ وَرِثَ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ عُمَرُ فَأَخَذَ مَالَهُ فَأَتَاهُ عَلِيٌّ وَزَيْدٌ فَقَالَا «لَيْسَ لَكَ ذَاكَ إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ كَأَحَدِ الْأَخَوَيْنِ»

✧ Indeed, the first grandfather to inherit in Islam was Umar. He took his wealth, then Ali and Zayd came to him and said, "You do not have that; you are only like one of the two brothers."
