Sunan ad-Darimi 2830

✧ When the servant approaches Allah the Almighty

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ حَدَّثَنَا مَهْدِيٌّ حَدَّثَنَا غَيْلَانُ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ مَعْدِي كَرِبَ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ يَرْوِيهِ عَنْ رَبِّهِ قَالَ

«يَا ابْنَ آدَمَ إِنَّكَ مَا دَعَوْتَنِي وَرَجَوْتَنِي غَفَرْتُ لَكَ عَلَي مَا كَانَ فِيكَ ابْنَ آدَمَ إِنَّكَ إِنْ تَلْقَانِي بِقُرَابِ الْأَرْضِ خَطَايَا لَقِيتُكَ بِقُرَابِهَا مَغْفِرَةً بَعْدَ أَنْ لَا تُشْرِكَ بِي شَيْئًا ابْنَ آدَمَ إِنَّكَ إِنْ تُذْنِبْ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ ذَنْبُكَ عَنَانَ السَّمَاءِ ثُمَّ تَسْتَغْفِرُنِي أَغْفِرْ لَكَ وَلَا أُبَالِي»

✧ «O son of Adam, as long as you call upon Me and hope in Me, I forgive you for what is in you, and I do not mind. O son of Adam, if you meet Me with earth-filling sins, I meet you with earth-filling forgiveness, so long as you do not associate anything with Me. O son of Adam, if you sin until your sin reaches the clouds of the sky, then you seek My forgiveness, I forgive you, and I do not mind.»
