✧ We used to engage in sharecropping for two or three years before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade us from sharecropping on the basis of one-third, one-half, and something of straw. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to us: "Whoever has land should cultivate it; if he dislikes cultivating it, he should give it to his brother; if he dislikes giving it to his brother, he should leave it."
