✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ married me when I was a girl of six years. We came to Madinah and stayed among the Banu al-Harith b. al-Khazraj. I fell ill and my hair fell out, then it grew back thick. Umm Ruman came to me while I was on a swing with my girl companions. She called me loudly, so I went to her, not knowing what she wanted. She took my hand and brought me to the door of the house. I was panting until my breathing calmed down. Then she took some water and wiped my face and head with it. Then she brought me into the house, and there were women of the Ansar in the room. They said, "Upon goodness and blessing, and upon the best of fortune." She handed me over to them, and they prepared me. Then nothing startled me except the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the forenoon. They handed me over to him, and I was on that day a girl of nine years.
