✧ Her paternal uncle, the brother of Abu al-Qu'ays, came asking permission to enter upon her after the veil was prescribed. She refused to permit him until she came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and asked his permission. When the Prophet ﷺ came, she mentioned that to him and said: 'My paternal uncle, the brother of Abu al-Qu'ays, came, and I refused him until I ask your permission.' He said: 'Is he not your paternal uncle?' She said: 'It was the woman who breastfed me; the man did not breastfeed me.' He said: 'He is your paternal uncle, so let him enter upon you.' She said: 'And 'A'ishah used to say: What is prohibited by breastfeeding is what is prohibited by birth.'
