✧ A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "I am ruined." He said, "What has ruined you?" He said, "I had intercourse with my wife during Ramadan." He said, "Free a slave." He said, "I do not have one." He said, "Fast two consecutive months." He said, "I am not able." He said, "Feed sixty poor people." He said, "I cannot find the means." Then a basket of dates was brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said, "Where is the questioner? Give this in charity." He said, "To those poorer than my family, O Messenger of Allah? By Allah, there is no household between its two lava fields poorer than us." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ laughed until his canine teeth showed and said, "Then you, if that is so."
