Sunan ad-Darimi 1683

✧ The charity is not permissible for the Prophet and his household.

أَخْبَرَنَا الْأَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ عِيسَى عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ أَبِي لَيْلَى قَالَ

كُنْتُ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَعِنْدَهُ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ فَأَخَذَ تَمْرَةً مِنْ تَمْرِ الصَّدَقَةِ فَانْتَزَعَهَا مِنْهُ وَقَالَ «أَمَا عَلِمْتَ أَنَّهُ لَا تَحِلُّ لَنَا الصَّدَقَةُ»

✧ I was with the Prophet ﷺ and with him was al-Hasan b. Ali. He took a date from the dates of charity, so he snatched it from him and said, "Do you not know that charity is not lawful for us?"
