✧ I witnessed praying with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the day of Eid. He began praying before giving the sermon, then stood leaning on Bilal until he reached the women. He gave them a sermon, reminded them, and commanded them to fear Allah. He said, "Give charity." Then he mentioned something about the matter of Hellfire, and a woman from the lower class of women stood up, her face reddened. She said, "Why, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "Because you women spread gossip and curse, and you deny kinship." Then they began taking off their jewelry and earrings and throwing them in the garment of Bilal, giving it as charity.
