machine translationQatādah, Ayyūb, Ibn ʿAwn, ʿĀṣim al-Aḥwal, Hishām b. Ḥassān and Muqātil b. Sulaymān narrate it. As for Qatādah, there is no disagreement from him about raising it (to the Prophet ﷺ), and likewise Hishām b. Ḥassān and Muqātil. As for Ibn ʿAwn, there is disagreement from him about raising it: Manṣūr b. ʿIkrimah and Isḥāq al-Azraq raised it from Ibn ʿAwn, while ʿUthmān b. ʿAwn, Khālid b. al-Ḥārith and Rawḥ b. ʿUbādah made it a statement of the Companion (mawqūf). There is also disagreement from him: Abū Umayyah al-Ṭarasūsī raised it from Rawḥ, but others contradicted him and made it mawqūf. As for ʿĀṣim al-Aḥwal, al-Firyābī raised it from al-Thawrī from ʿĀṣim, while Ibn Mahdī made it mawqūf from al-Thawrī. Dāwūd b. Abī Hind narrated it from Ibn Sīrīn from Abū Hurayrah, raising it once and making it mawqūf another time, and Muḥammad b. Fuḍayl said that from Dāwūd. Its being raised is sound (ṣaḥīḥ).)
