✧ Praying behind someone who delays prayer beyond its appointed time

أَخْبَرَنَا سَهْلُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ بُدَيْلٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ الْبَرَّاءِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَهُ «كَيْفَ أَنْتَ إِذَا بَقِيتَ فِي قَوْمٍ يُؤَخِّرُونَ الصَّلَاةَ عَنْ وَقْتِهَا؟» قَالَ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ قَالَ «صَلِّ الصَّلَاةَ لِوَقْتِهَا وَاخْرُجْ فَإِنْ أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ وَأَنْتَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَصَلِّ مَعَهُمْ»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ said to him, “How will you be when you remain among a people who delay the prayer beyond its time?” He said, “Allah and His Messenger know best.” He said, “Pray the prayer at its time, then leave. If the prayer is established while you are in the mosque, then pray with them.”
