✧ Upon him be peace and blessings, he used to kiss and then pray without performing ablution. It is said that al-Walīd b. Ṣāliḥ erred in his saying 'from ʿAbd al-Karīm', when it is rather the ḥadīth of Ghālib. Al-Thawrī narrated it from ʿAbd al-Karīm from ʿAṭāʾ as his own statement, and that is the correct view. It is rather the ḥadīth of Ghālib, and Allah knows best.
